Hi there! My name is Sofi. I have been a vet tech for 7 years, and I have loved animals (especially dogs) all my life. With me your pet will get safety, a nurse, a friend, and a teacher. I provide peace of mind, education and advice if requested (please note I am not a veterinarian, I will merely try to guide you as best I can), and someone who will love your pet as if they were my own.
I am knowledgeable in animal healthcare. I will always be on the alert of any health issues that your pet may come across. I love educating people on the things I have learned in my years as a vet tech.
I am well-equipped to handle all types of pets - dog aggressive, people aggressive, or reactive. I know how to work with them slowly and avoid stressful situations for them and make sure everyone is safe. Large dogs that pull on walks - I have three of them myself!

Grooming as needed and as your pet allows - nail trims, ear cleans, brushing, and sanitary trims (I am not a professional groomer). I can discuss pricing with you upon your booking!
I have a bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, but my happiness lies within animals. Please consider trusting me with your beloved pets :)
Sofia is the owner of Nanny Paws. Growing up, Sofi had a family cat as well as a fish tank, but was only ever exposed to animals when she visited friends houses. While at university at UT Dallas as a pre-med student, Sofi decided to adopt a dog. She had never had a dog and always wanted one, so she jumped at the opportunity. She went the Dallas city animal shelter and left with a 40 pound border collie mix that same day. This is where things went in a new direction for her. Koda changed her life! Sofi accepted a job as a vet tech assistant at her first animal clinic while continuing her education at UT Dallas.
Sofi has continued to work as a vet tech, working with various animals from dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. In 2020 she decided to work part-time as a vet tech in order to try to take another step into the dream of owning a shelter. That’s when she landed on pet sitting. She is passionate about fulfilling a need for a more professional and caring approach to pet sitting - to provide peace of mind. Many pawrents consider their fur children to be their real children. So does Sofi! She wanted to provide pawrents with the assurance that their fur baby will be in the safest and most capable hands, and that is where Nanny Paws started! It has been over a year since she began and Nanny Paws has amassed more clients than she thought possible, and Sofi loves every minute of it!

Sofi truly loves her clients’ pets as if they were her own. Her favorite aspect of being a pet nanny is the “pawsonal pet assistant” plans, because they mean she gets to see her favorite pets regularly! Sofi regularly works with elderly pets, pets with behavioral issues, and pets with various health conditions.

Sofi lives with her husband and their three dogs. She is a black belt fourth degree in Tae Kwon Do. In her spare time, Sofi loves reading, traveling and hiking with her husband and their dogs.
